Description

Consultant required to identify suitable sites for a minimum 20MW size solar plant, a shortlist of at least five potential sites needs to be compiled. The categorization of sites involves assessing land use, availability, settlement presence, size in terms of land area and generation capacity, estimated power generation and capacity factor, site accessibility, and development costs, including grid upgrades and the possibility of integrating Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) for load smoothing. Following this, discussions with local authorities and workshops should be organized to engage stakeholders.

Site visits are essential to identify any limiting factors for development, encompassing environmental, social, and geotechnical considerations. Detailed mapping, schematic diagrams, and high-resolution photographs of each site and its surroundings are necessary for comprehensive evaluation.
