micro-grid preparation studies for specific sites in Papua New Guinea (PNG)

Demonstrate a track record in designing and implementing development projects aimed at promoting investment in the energy sector, with a preference for expertise in microgrids. 

Have experience in providing policy and program support for renewable energy projects in various development contexts, especially off-grid electrification. 

Showcase previous involvement in related projects in the Pacific islands. 

Possess a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in policy advice and program support within the energy access and renewable energy domains in diverse development contexts, particularly in off-grid electrification. 

Demonstrate a minimum of 3 years of experience in supporting the preparation, feasibility studies, design, partnerships, and implementation of projects involving international financial institutions (IFIs). 

Show prior engagement with partners, such as government and the private sector, in the field of renewable energy partnerships and financing models. 

Possess at least 2 years of experience in supporting communities in identifying and engaging in small and micro-scale economic activities, including microenterprise development, with a preference for expertise in facilitating cooperative formation and support. 

Fluency in English is required. 

Hold a Master’s degree or higher in a relevant field, such as project management, development studies, environmental studies, or natural resources management. 

Demonstrate a minimum of 3 years in project management and coordination, preferably related to energy projects and experience in the Pacific Islands. 

Showcase experience in managing and coordinating partnerships. 

Preferred experience in supporting communities in renewable energy and climate change initiatives.
