Consulting firm to conduct environmental studies for Solar, wind, and BEESS plans in Botswana

The Government of Botswana is planning three energy projects with funding from the World Bank a 100 MW solar PV project, a 100 MW wind project, and a 50 MW battery storage energy system.  

A consulting firm is needed to conduct Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (ESIAs) for the solar PV and wind projects, and an Abbreviated ESIA for the battery storage project.  

The scope of work includes: 

a) Conducting a scoping study in compliance with national and international standards. b) Planning and implementing stakeholder engagement activities. c) Preparing detailed ESIA reports and supporting documents, including Environmental and Social Management Plans. d) Developing an Environmental and Social Management Plan (ESMP) based on ESIA results.
